Nassau Bahamas

This picture was taken in Nassau, Bahamas from the beach while looking away from the ocean to the backs at the homes along the strip. It was in a more private area, away from the popular, more crowded beaches and tourist area. I was attracted to the weather worn paint and texture of the wall, just beginning to show the grey cracks in the cement, the contrast of colours and the juxtaposition of shapes: the mustardy yellow of the horizontal wall versus the repetitive pattern of vertical black, grey, white, then grey again rectangles framing the window, finally leading in towards the alternating tones of grey on the horizontal slats of the venetian blinds caused by shadows being cast by the late day sun.
