Tree in sepia

This tree, species unknown, is located on the grounds of a property in Rome owned by the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. As the tour guide spoke at length about Mussolini and the house (Villa Torlinia, I believe) he lived in during the war, I wandered away from the group to admire this wonderful singular tree, standing alone on a raised piece of land. While I no longer recall any significant information about the tree itself, I do remember that I was much more intrigued with its natural beauty and life history than that of the malevolent leader. I chose to photograph it in sepia which seemed fitting for the image.
