Sculpture to the Sky

One of my favorite events of the summer is the Open House of the Art Omi International Artists Residency program located in the town of Omi, NY, in the beautiful Hudson River Valley.
My husband and I have been great fans of the organization for over 10 years; his company currently sponsors a Montreal artist to attend the three week program held every summer.
This photo attempts to capture the elegance of and contrasts between this most majestic, streamlined white sculpture reaching upward and outward into the heavens against the intensity of the clear blue sky and softly edged puffy white clouds. It was taken on a magnificent July afternoon while walking through the Fields Sculpture Park, which is open to the public year round.
