A perfect japanese peony, just after the rain. Unfortunately, the plant suffered after being moved to a different location during a re-landscaping project. Fortunately, I have the photo. It gives me hope that with proper care and attention it will blossom again sometime in the not too distant future.

Fireworks

This photo was taken from the rooftop of a 12 story building on boulevard St. Laurent, during the international fireworks competition. Risking life and limb, leaning over the edge of the roof with 300mm lens fully extended and winds gusting at what felt like 100 miles an hour, was well worth it for the shot.
